Outdoor candles and mosquito-repellent candles: how to obtain the best effect

Eating outside

For dinner in the garden or on the terrace, a single outdoor candle is not sufficient to guarantee the best results against mosquitoes. We recommend that you place an outdoor candle about two metres from each corner of the table, thus creating an effective protective barrier.

Parties and cocktail gatherings

Place outdoor candles around the perimeter of the area to be used for a party or cocktail gathering at a distance of 3 - 3.5 metres apart, thus ensuring that mosquitoes don't join in the party. A delightful and effective alternative for parties in the garden or on the beach are bamboo torches filled with our vegetable based, environment friendly citronella oil.

On terraces and balconies

Our recommendation of placing outdoor candles 3 - 3.5 metres apart also applies to terraces and balconies.

In the home

In the bedroom, light the candles at least 2-3 hours before going to bed. For a normal sized room of around 20 square metres, two candles should be sufficiently effective. As these are made with natural essences, there is no need to ventilate the room during or after use.
